Tonight wasn’t too bad.  Those GOP hats came in handy.  We have three solid leads:

1-We ended up sitting next to two McCain staffers who were interviewed by Katie Couric tonight and were defending Sarah Palin.  Sam was watching it while I was in the shower.  He saw them roll in and sit at the bar we were at, so I chatted them up.  I said “hey didn’t I see you on TV earlier?”  I told them we were big McCain supporters from Georgia.  I asked if he would get me and my blogger buddies in for the speech and he said it “wasn’t his area” but that he’d see what he could do.  He took my info.

2-Sam’s cousin in George Stephanopoulos.  It clicked for him tonight that he just might be able to help us out.  Yes indeedy!  He’s calling his aunt (aka George’s sister) tomorrow to put the good word out.

3-We were told, again, that we should head to our state delegation and ask for guest passes.  We tried that in Denver too (to no avail) but may try it for Thursday if the other contacts fall through.  We just need to find out where they’re staying.  Does anybody know?

So tomorrow should be another interesting day.  

OH, and watch out for another special treat tomorrow.  I filmed Haydee and I reading “The Best Comments Posted in Response to our Arrest iReport.”  So you’ll get the best (actually, the worst) comments as read by us!  It’s true Hippie Douchebag fun!
