Bryan gave me a credential to get inside the Xcel (No)-Energy Center and we walked around. It was sort of uneventful. We talked to some people and ended up finding a few other credentials to get the rest of the group in… but it just didn’t seem worth it. We could have worked our passes just like the Obama speech but that would have meant sitting there for a couple hours and not being able to move. Did we really want to wait around for McCain’s speech? Not to dis the man or anything but……… BOOOOOOORING. (Salter, if you’re reading this, my apologies. But you have to know it’s true.)
Would you stay for this? It was kinda dead.
So I left. I met the crew on the outside, did a bit of elephant watching (a term coined by Justin, thank you), and then we went and took the drama-free bike ride we intended to on Monday. It was nice. St. Paul and Minneapolis are actually pretty cool.
Now the only thing that’s left is seeing what the protesters are up to. Apparently they’re causing quit a stir downtown so we’re gonna see what’s up! With everything shutting down we don’t know if it’s over-reaction or they know something is definitely coming.
I’ll let you know.
I'm a guy in Atlanta with a blog & a video camera. I've got a crew of friends who like to help me out, whether it's sneaking into NYC's Fashion Week, Bobbing for Pig's Feet at the Redneck Olympics, or just knowing what's going on around Atlanta. Check in, watch some videos, & see what's up. Or sign up & get involved! Vote on the next kyle.tv episode! Or suggest your own ideas for us! We're up for anything! So who knows what will happen next!
