So I was cleaning out my closet the other day and I came across an old suitcase.  I went to throw it out but checked the side pocket before I did. I found two things. One, was a handful of teeny-bopper magazines. They were called “Big Bopper,” “Tutti Frutti,” and “16.” I think I had an obsession with Edward Furlong at the time so I must have bought them because of him. They’re dated February 1994. I was 20 years old at the time and buying teenager magazines!  Awesome!

The other thing I found were a stack of desk calendar sheets – starting January 1993 and ending June 1994 – were everyday was filled out. Seeing them instantly brought it back: for a whole year and a half I wrote down what I did every single day. Ha! How retarded! But how wonderful now!

Check out this entry from January 30, 1993.  I was living in England at the time with my parents:

“Got up then went to the commissary with dad.  Later I went to The Club and got very drunk.  Spent the night at Jessica’s because I couldn’t drive home.”

Damn, not much has changed in 16 years!

So welcome to a new kyle.tv series. I’m going to call it “Circa 1993.” When there’s a slow blogging day or something I’m going to pull these out and let you know what I did on THAT DAY back in 1993!  (or 1994!)
