Here’s an interesting state-by-state map of the United States of Shame. It’s what states are “best” at. It looks like Georgia is the most sickly based on national influenza stats. Boooooooring. Some other states of note:

Concert announcements for Spring 2011 are already surpassing all expectations.  From the Coachella announcement a few days to daily updates on upcoming shows, it’s going to be a busy season.  Dare I say that the 2011 Spring show schedule might be better than last year’s amazing Roctober? 

Two shows in particular that I’m really looking forward to this week are Little Dragon 25 JAN 2011 at the Masquerade and Adron (with Little Tybee) on 27 JAN 2011 at the Earl.

First up, Little Dragon is yet another really amazing Swedish band.  The venue is not my favorite and apparently there is another show that night in Heaven but I’m sure Little Dragon will be impressive.  Check them out:

Second up is Adron at the Earl.  Adron is “a girl/company responsible for the dispersal of wholesome, righteous, melodic tropical music and psychedelic art.” This is quoted directly from her website: http://adron.muxtape.com/.  I suggest you visit and download a free copy of Burdwurld.  I’ve been listening to this EP for a few months and love it. It makes great flying music.

The Adron show starts a full weekend with Yo La Tengo on Friday and Liz Phair on Saturday, both at Variety.

We have a new contributor in the house! Alli Royce Soble – photographer to the stars – will be graciously offering up exclusive images from events around as well as supporting kyle.tv on our various video adventures. Think of her galleries as a “Seen Around” sorta thing but just sexier than most. You know, because it’s us.

Saturday marked the third anniversary for The LadyStache Party and all the kittens donned their whiskers for the event. The party, hosted by DJ Vicki Powell and birthday-girl Jessica Ginger, had quite a turnout at Bellissima. Champagne flowed and the beats were definitely hot. The floor was filled with hundreds of furry lipped ladies and the energy was electric. Here are a few of my favorite shots of the night. Enjoy. Until the next event…see y’all through the lens. ARS

8. Corpse Bride- we are already watched “Nightmare Before Xmas”.

9. Sweeny Todd- shut up.

10. Alice in Wonderland- I threw up in 3D.

1. A Nightmare on Elm St.- best role

2. Cry Baby- classy.

3. Edward Scissorhands- bondage goth kids are cool.

4. Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare- second best role.

5. Ed Wood- I like your sweater.

6. Sleepy Hollow- It halloweeny

7. Once upon a time in Mexico- Robert Rodriguez is a brilliant director

Tonight is the premiere of T.T. Mahoney’s “Church Organ Karaoke” at Sister Louisa’s Church. From 6p – 10p, T.T. will play all your karaoke favorites… on a church organ. You sing from the Hymnal. Britney and Journey favorites included.

I don’t know about ya’ll but that sounds like the best damn sing-a-long just about EVER.
