Here are a handful of upcoming events I’ve added to the kyle.tv calendar. If you like one, add ‘em to yours!

My friends all went to the NOH8 Campaign Open Photo Shoot at the W Midtown today. They got there, got their tattoos, and were told it was going to be a 6 hour wait. I joked with them, telling them that for $20 I’d take their pictures at my house. Instant Facebook delivery guaranteed!
Twenty minutes later, they showed up at my door.
Otherwise titled, “I Hate You Renée Zellweger”
OH MY GOD! Yes I know better, but I wanted to keep an open mind. So we just watched “Case 39.″ It is about a social worker named and played by Renée Zellweger. She takes on case, yep you guessed it, case number 39.
Case 39 is a little girl who can’t act and her parents are trying to kill her because she is a demon and can’t act. The parents get arrested and Renée Zellweger takes this little demon bitch home to raise or some shit. Then Renée who has yet to open her eyes in the movie (They are always closed shut) starts noticing that the girl is probably a demon. The shittiest demon you have ever seen, I hate that little girl.
Thanks to all for submitting your ideas to kyle.tv. I love them! Here’s one I got tonight.
Find this woman, create a dance routine together, then go clubbing with her…
Looks fun! Actually, it sorta looks something like Le Sexoflex auditioning for Dollywood judges but more on that later. Keep your suggestions coming, no matter how random. So many events, so little time!
CommonCreativ Atlanta is looking for “The 50 Most Creative People in Atlanta.” From their website:
We’re looking for the most creative Atlantans, and we’re relying on you to send in your nominations! Contribute by e-mailing us at Submit@commoncreativatlanta.com. Accepting until Monday morning! The list is filling up fast so don’t wait to nominate someone you know, or yourself!
Nominations are accepted until tomorrow morning (Monday, January 17th) so get them in. There are so many wonderful artists, writers, actors, photographers, etc, etc in Atlanta that certainly you know of some deserving folk! I nominated some of my peeps!
Wow, what an intense few hours this morning. When Dana and Drew (of Le Sexoflex) walked out of their apartment building in full sequin, I knew the Dollywood Auditions were in for it. D&D did it up right and in full!
There were about 30 people auditioning, 4 judges on stage, and an audience half full of supporters. There was some real talent there and everyone was taking it VERY seriously. Think American Idol but sorta country-style. The stakes seemed about the same.
Honestly, it was scary as shit walking into there. Think about walking into a very serious, dark theatre, with all eyes on your sparkly quasi-athletic wear. You know what’s up but they don’t. And then you just sit there and wait. It gets your heart beating, for sure. You just never know what’s going to happen.
But Le Sexoflex (I’m sorry, I mean LSOF. “What’s that stand for?” “It’s FRENCH!”) did an amazing job. It was quite hilarious. And the judges, obviously stunned, were polite enough to let them perform for about a full two minutes (I thought for sure we’d get a “CUT!” as soon as Drew sang “That’s not make-up that’s fecal matter!”).
I can’t wait to get you the video. Look for it the next couple of days.
And remember, I’m always looking for ideas or events for us to film. If you have one, please submit! No matter how little or random something might seem, we want to hear about it. It honestly doesn’t take much.
Don’t have plans for MLK Day yet? I know you’re off work! My friend Polly (in partnership with WonderRoot) is organizing a community clean-up in Reynoldstown. Per the event:
GreenPlate, Inc. is partnering with WonderRoot, Revive Atlanta and the Reynoldstown neighborhood to do a community clean up and to help WonderRoot clear an area for a sculpture garden. Join up from 9:00 to 12:30
WonderRoot is located at 982 Memorial Drive, Atlanta, GA. RSVP on Facebook if you’d like more info!
