Birthday Presents From the Parents

I drove up to my parent’s place yesterday. They’re in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, just over the Georgia state line. I came up for some post-birthday recovery as well as to see my nephew. In all the rest and relaxation, I forgot that I might get another present or two. In fact, I got just that… two. Here they are:

Sexsational is “an erotic board game for two consenting adults.” This is the kind of thing I’ve come to expect from my mother… random, weird, but yeah probably useful.

Here’s the other:

This is Excalibur’s Bar Master Deluxe. This holds over 1000 drink recipes as well as a handful of jokes. Here’s one:

A blonde, a brunette, and a redhead walked into a bar. The brunette said, “I’ll have a B and C.” The bartender asks, “what’s that?” She says “a bourbon and coke.”

The redhead says, “I’ll have a G and T.” The bartender asks, “what’s that?” She says, “a gin and tonic.”

The blonde then says, “I’ll have a 15.” The bartender asks, “what’s that?” She says, “a 7 and 7.”

This one will probably live by the bar in my house. I really can’t imagine pulling it out while at a bartending gig. I’ll just stick to posting the question on Facebook.

Head to Noni’s tonight. We’re going to start birthday celebrations at 8pm and then see where it takes us. Noni has a way of inspiring its own unique type of dance party (usually meaning Kyle gets tipsy enough and takes over the ipod) so it could turn into that. They’ve come up with the “Kay Kay Haaaay” special drink tonight: vodka and mint infused blueberry something or other. $5! I’ll take three!

At the very least, it’ll be a place to gather and see what’s up. Maybe then Highland Inn too?

Today is my 36th birthday. Hard to believe! But it’s sorta awesome. And so close to 40… it’s oddly exciting. I can say I’m definitely looking forward to it.
