So, I’m currently at the airport and waiting to get on the plane. At 6pm, when I arrive, I’ll be completely open to possibility. I have no game plan… and $100. Let’s see what happens.

Inauguration or Bust!

Inauguration or Bust! Or, otherwise known as, “The Phone Bill Will Have to Wait.”

I have a handful Delta SkyMiles so I decided to cash in. Last week when I was dreaming about this I checked and the rates from Atlanta to DC were ridiculous (even in miles). But just this morning everything went down. Everything is wide open. So I booked a flight for only 25,000 miles.

So, here begins another adventure. I’ll land in DC with no real game plan, except to be somewhere on the Mall on Tuesday. I’ll find my friends, find a place to crash, and then find a ride back. I have a flight on Friday but the road trip will be more fun.

I’ll bring a camera and keep ya posted.

I’m giving serious thoughts to just saying “screw it” and head up to DC for the inauguration. Rides are plentiful. Money is not. But with the amount of people headed up – and the amount of people I’ll know up there – it seems a good way to go on the CHEAP. Plus, it’s going to be crazy fun. Oh, and historic too. It would be a good way to bookend my DNC experience (or hell, even my RNC experience). I could see it all come full circle. Heh.

So whatcha think? Should I go?
